Brian — Kelly's Boyfriend

Overview

Brian was a bus passenger and the boyfriend of Kelly. He was killed by the creatures in the woods outside town on the night before Kelly was found staked to a tree (S2E02–03) — one of the many casualties of the bus group's first nights in town.

Biography

Brian arrived on the bus at the end of S1E10, alongside Kelly, Elgin Williams, Randall Kirkland, Marielle Sinclair, Bakta, and the other passengers (S2E01). He and Kelly were in a relationship. After the bus was disabled and the passengers scattered, Brian and Kelly went out into the woods near the town's animal traps at night; the creatures caught them, killed Brian, and staked Kelly to a tree with a rod from one of the traps. Kelly, found the next morning (S2E03), told Boyd what had happened to Brian; his body is never shown.

Note: some secondary sources date Brian's death to the S1E07 Colony House massacre; that dating is inconsistent with the canon synopses, which place Brian and Kelly among the Season 2 bus arrivals.

Personality & Traits

Brian is barely characterized on screen — he registers mainly as half of the couple whose night in the woods ended in the season's most gruesome tableau.
