Clara — The Town's Quiet Traitor
Overview
Clara is a resident of Colony House who survives the town's horrors for years only to become the Man in Yellow's human collaborator: in Season 4 she makes a deal with the entity in the guise of "Sophia," administers his blood to Fatima Hassan, and helps him steal every talisman in the town (S4E09–10). She is played by Katerina Bakolias.
Biography
Clara first appears at Colony House in S2E01, when the storm's exploding lightbulbs injure her eye — an injury that leaves her with a bandaged eye and marks her as one of the town's quieter survivors. She is present during the food-ration conflict in S2E06 and remains a background resident through the cicada crisis and the barn massacre.
In Season 4, after the Man in Yellow arrives disguised as the woman "Sophia," Clara becomes his instrument. In S4E09, Sophia reveals her identity to Clara and reminds her of the deal they made; Clara then gives Fatima the Man in Yellow's blood to drink, accelerating her transformation. When Elgin Williams finds an old photograph of Sophia, Clara locks the diner's door, trapping Elgin inside with the entity — who kills him (S4E10). In the finale, Sophia and Clara collect the town's talismans; after the Boy in White tells Sophia she will finally lose, the entity throws the talismans into a faraway tree, leaving the town defenseless — with Clara's fate in the aftermath unseen.

Quiet, watchful, and self-preserving. Clara keeps to the edges of Colony House life and says little, which makes her betrayal all the more shocking: no one suspected the town's most unremarkable resident of dealing with the enemy.
