Overview

Jim Matthews' Season 1 effort to build a radio tower and contact the outside world — the town's first organized engineering project. The tower was raised with salvaged materials and powered by tapping the town's inexplicable house electricity, but the only signal it ever received was a threatening voice that knew Jim's name and warned him about Tabitha's digging. The project concluded in S1E10, but the pattern it established — entities posing as callers over dead lines — returned in Season 3 when the same voice began calling the Matthews home claiming to be the family's dead son, Thomas.
