Trudy — Colony House Resident
Overview
Trudy was a resident of Colony House who was among the first killed in the massacre of S1E07 — the night Kevin opened a window for the creature Jasmine and the creatures poured into the building. She was killed by Smiley, the perpetually grinning creature. She is played by Cynthia Jimenez-Hicks.
Biography
Trudy lived at Colony House, part of the communal household led by Donna Raines. She is seen in the final hours of Colony House's old life: on the night of the first-anniversary celebration for Fatima Hassan's arrival (S1E07), residents gather for a party that will end in slaughter.
As the celebration winds down, Kevin opens a window for Jasmine, the creature he has been courting in the woods. Jasmine kills him and leaves the window open; the creatures swarm inside. Trudy is among the first to meet them and is killed by Smiley as the massacre spreads. Many residents die that night; survivors escape in a van, and Father Khatri is killed at the sheriff's station before the doors close.
The massacre permanently shatters Colony House's reputation as the town's safest refuge. Donna carries the losses — Trudy among them — into her later leadership, and the surviving residents never fully trust the building's walls again.
